Three hospitalised after two-car crash in Aberdeenshire

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after three men were left seriously injured following a crash near Whiterashes.

The two-vehicle collision occurred on the A947 Oldmeldrum to Aberdeen road at around 2.35pm on Sunday 10 March.

The road was closed for around 10 hours while officers carried out investigations.

It involved a white Peugeot Partner and a brown Volkswagen Caddy.

Two occupants in the Volkswagen, aged 39 and 71, and the driver of the Peugeot, a 46-year-old, were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

Further enquiries remain ongoing and officers are now looking to speak with anyone who may have any information.

Sergeant Sarah Ritchie, from the North East Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with those involved in this incident and I would like to thank the members of the public who stopped to assist at the scene.

“Our enquiries are continuing and I urge anyone with information, who has not already spoken to police, to please call 101, quoting incident 1618 of 10 March, 2024.”
