Two bodies found at Dundee house have been identified as a missing mum and her toddler

The alarm was raised at the beginning of March when Bennylyn Burke and two-year-old Jellica disappeared from their home in South Gloucestershire

Police say the two bodies found at a property in Troon Avenue, Dundee have been formally identified as Bennylyn Burke, 25, and daughter Jellica, 2.

Family liaison officers are supporting their family.

The pair were reported missing from their south Gloucestershire home on March 1, having been last seen on February 17.

Officers in Dundee attended a property on Troon Avenue around 3.20pm on Friday, 5 March, 2021, as part of an enquiry into their disappearance at the start of March.

On Monday, 8 March, 2021, a 50-year-old man appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court charged with the murders of Bennylyn and Jellica.
