Terror arrest at Heathrow

Police swoop in connection with Arena attack

A man has been arrested at Heathrow Airport in connection with the investigation into the attack at Manchester Arena.

The 38-year-old was arrested on suspicion of offences contrary to the Terrorism Act and remains in custody.

The arrest was planned beforehand and there was no direct threat to the airport.

As it stands 19 people in total have been arrested in connection with the investigation, of which twelve people have since been released without charge.

A total of seven men remain in custody for questioning.
