Highways Festival returns to the Royal Albert Hall for its second edition this May, with Planet Rock favourites The Cadillac Three headlining the Friday night.

Taking place across Friday 17th and Saturday 18th May, this festival of Country and Americana sees some of the best artists in the genre grace the hallowed grounds of the Royal Albert Hall, alongside an exhibition of five decades of iconic country music photography, as well as an after party and other events.

Joining The Cadillac Three on the Friday 17th May bill are folk-tinged country rockers Shane Smith & The Saints, troubadour Tanner Usrey and melodic duo BOWEN * YOUNG.

Rock festivals to look forward to in 2024

Download Festival 2024

Download Festival will return for 2024, with festival organisers announcing that it will return to its traditional format of three days. 2023's 20th anniversary extravaganza saw the main arena open for four days for the first time in the festival's history, however 2024 will see it return to Donington Park from Friday 14th June to Sunday 16th June, with limited early bird tickets already on sale. Announced on Tuesday 7th November, headliners include Queens of the Stone Age, Fall Out Boy and Avenged Sevenfol. The festival has confirmed its first headline partner in its 21-year history - still and sparkling water company Liquid Death. A fresh wave of artists were announced in January, including names such as Black Stone Cherry, Tom Morello, The Struts, Mr Bungle, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Enter Shikari, Electric Callboy and Of Mice & Men also join the bill. More names joined the bill in March, including Slayer legend Kerry King, Welsh power trio Florence Black, gothic rockers Creeper, New York punk rockers Bayside- check out the rest of the names here.

Steelhouse Festival 2024

The Steelhouse Festival will return in 2024 on Friday 26th - Sunday 28th July. The festival will be returning to Hafod-Y-Dafal Farm, Ebbw Vale, Wales - and headliners include King King, Elles Bailey, Oli Brown & The Dead Collective and The Zac Schulze Gang on the Friday, as the festival celebrates Berniefest Friday - a day of celebration of the life and music of Bernie Marsden. Throughout the weekend, other confirmed headliners include The Almighty, Living Colour, Phil Campbell & The Bastard Sons, Skindred, Mr. Big, Accept, The Warning, South of Salem and Cassidy Paris.

Bloodstock Open Air 2024

Returning in 2024, headliners include Opeth, Architects, Amon Amarth and Clutch. Taking place from Thursday 8th - Sunday 11th August 2024, other confirmed artists for the Ronnie James Dio main stage are Rotting Christ, The Night Flight Orchestra, Malevolence, Unleash The Archers, Septicflesh and Green Lunch. The Sophie Lancaster Stage will also boast performances from Igorrr, Korpiklaani and Infected Rain. Further announced acts include Soen and Raised by Owls.

The Long Road Festival 2024

August Bank Holiday 2024 will see the return of the three-day The Long Road Festival. From Friday 23rd - Sunday 25th August 2024, the festival will welcome the finest country, Americana and roots music to the fields of Stanford Hall in Leicestershire.

Stonedead Festival 2024

Stonedead Festival will return in 2024 on 24th August - with one day, one stage, and one monster rock show where rock music reigns eternal. The festival promises to continue their tradition of bringing both established and new rock bands to Newark Showground, Nottinghamshire - with the first wave of acts announced including Ugly Kid Joe, Doro, Eclipse, Bonafide, The Bites and Tailgunner. The blockbuster headliners this year will be Yorkshire metal titans Saxon, and confirmed for the coveted special guest slot is Judas Priest offshoot band KK's Priest.

Planet Rockstock 2024

The 11th Planet Rockstock returns from Thursday 28th November to Sunday 1st December 2024, again taking place at its home for the past decade - Trecco Bay in Porthcawl, Wales. The first 14 bands for Planet Rockstock 2024 have already been announced, as well as three headliners - Friday bill-toppers Robert Jon & The Wreck, Saturday headliner Michael Monroe and Sunday headliner Uriah Heep. Winter's End 2025

Following a triumphant weekend in 2024, 2025 will again see the return of Planet Rock presents Winter's End, returning to its home of Trecco Bay Holiday Park, South Wales. The indoor festival will take place from Friday 31st January to Sunday 2nd February 2025, with Early Bird tickets on sale now.
