The Rock Block

Here at Planet Rock, every week day at 6pm we do something that no other national radio station does - we relinquish control of our playlist to a listener, and let them chose the music for a whole hour.
Some say this is the ultimate show of faith in the musical tastes of our amazing listeners, some say this is us being lazy and letting you do our jobs for us. Whatever the real reason (ahem), it happens to be one of our favourite features of the day, because of the sheer variety of tunes that you guys pick.
If you want to get involved, you simply need to do two things:
Head to The Rock Block request page: which you can find here.
Fill out the form: giving us 20 tracks, and then a short summary of why you want us to play them.
And that's it! You don't win anything for taking part in The Rock Block, apart from the respect of your peers, and the ears of the nation. Reward enough, we say.
We play a new Rock Block every day from 6pm, with the marvellous Darren Redick at the helm, introducing the tunes on your behalf, and letting the nation know the reasons behind your choices.
