Rumours of new AC/DC music have been rife for a while now, but Vancouver-based engineer Mike Fraser (who has recorded and mixed 5 albums for AC/DC, as well as worked with Aerosmith and Metallica) has added fuel to the fire with recent comments.

Acca Dacca's longtime working partner revealed some interesting revelations during an interview last month with Australian podcaster Tony Mantz.

The news comes on the back of a photo shared recently that seems to suggest both Brian Johnson and Cliff Williams are involved in AC/DC's latest project. That, in turn, was after Brian Johnson 'confirmed' he was back in the band.

When asked about the rumours Fraser confessed: "Umm... Well, yeah, I could say that we've been in the studio doing something. What's come of that I can't discuss yet, but uh..."

Mantz pressed: "With Brian singing?" to which Fraser replied "I think so" coyly.

Fraser first started working with AC/DC in 1990 on The Razor's Edge, and has gone on to mix / engineer 'Ballbreaker', 'Stiff Upper Lip', 'Black Ice' and 'Rock or Bust', as well as a plethora of live albums and DVDs for the band.

He's also worked with the likes of Van Halen, Thunder, Led Zeppelin and Guns N' Roses in the past.

Rumours about new AC/DC music were born from pictures of singer Brian Johnson, drummer Phil Rudd, and guitarists Angus and Stevie Young taken outside Warehouse Studios in Vancouver.

Online reports, and fans alike, expect that any new music will be dedicated to the late Malcolm Young.

Former drummer Chris Slade, however, has urged a note of caution over fan speculation, saying that he learnt over the years "not to believe the rumours".
