Alice Cooper premieres 'I'm Alice' video and announces 29th album 'Road'
The album is released later this summer
Fresh from premiering his new song 'I'm Alice' on his Planet Rock show Nights with Alice Cooper last night (13th June), Alice Cooper has shared the music video and revealed full details of his 29th studio album ‘Road’.
Released on Friday 25th August 2023 via earMUSIC, ‘Road’ was produced by Alice Cooper’s long-time collaborator Bob Ezrin, and it’s written, composed and recorded with his beloved bandmates Ryan Roxie (guitar), Chuck Garric (bass), Tommy Henrikson (guitar), Glen Sobel (drums), and Nita Strauss (guitar).
Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello also co-wrote, played, and contributed backing vocals on the high-octane album track ‘White Line Frankenstein.’
Alice says of the 13-track album: “For ‘Road’, I wanted the band to be involved in the foundation of all the songs.
“I only see these guys when we’re on the road. So, I wanted them to be as tight as they are for the show but on all new material. When you have a band this good, I believe in showing it off, and this is my way of doing so.”
The album is preceded by the phenomenal lead single 'I'm Alice', which sees Alice sing in his idiosyncratic style: “I know you’re looking for a real good time. So, let me introduce you to a friend of mine. I’m Alice. I’m the Master of Madness; the Sultan of Surprise...so don’t be afraid, just look into my eyes.”

Alice Cooper’s ‘Road’ is available to purchase in a wide variety of formats and limited vinyl colours. Complementing the album’s theme, the bonus DVD/Blu-ray comes with Alice Cooper’s full live show at Hellfest 2022 and includes all the classics and rarely played gems.
Reflecting upon his ever-busy schedule, 75-year-old Alice said: “There’s no downtime for me at all. I’ve got this album, this tour, Hollywood Vampires, and a whole lot more.
“Most guys my age want to rest and relax. I’ve never felt more up. Physically, I’m in as good of shape as I’ve ever been. I’m not looking for any way out. I’m not going retire, and I don’t want anyone to think I am. I’m at the top of my game right now.”
Alice hits the road in the UK next month with his Hollywood Vampires bandmates Johnny Depp, Joe Perry and Tommy Henriksen.
The tour kicks off in Scarborough on Wednesday 5th July 2023, before calling at Swansea Arena (Fri 7th July), Manchester AO Arena (Sat 8th July), London The O2 (Sun 9th July), Birmingham Utilita Arena (Tue 11th July), and culminating in Glasgow OVO Hydro (Wed 12th July).

Ronnie Wood is the father-in-law of Fearne Cotton
Rolling Stones and Faces guitarist Ronnie Wood is the father-in-law of television and radio presenter Fearne Cotton. Ronnie's oldest son Jesse Wood began dating Fearne Cotton in 2011 and they married three years later. They have two children together.
Nita Strauss is a descendant of Johan Strauss
Guitar shredder Nita Strauss, perhaps best-known for being Alice Cooper's guitarist since 2014, is a descendant of 19th century Austrian composer Johann Strauss II. Explaining she's related to Johan on her father's side, Nita told Ultimate Guitar: "We have a lot of musicians, like, everyone on my dad's side of the family is all musicians, all the way back to the Viennese Strausses." Asked if she would consider performing Johan's music, Nita said: "You know, the waltz doesn't really sound good on the guitar. Like, I've sort of experimented a bit. I have to explore it more, because I would like to. And actually, we talked even about using 'The Blue Danube' as intro music for the tour or something, but it's so on the nose. It's sort of, like, so obvious, but I still want to explore it when I have a little more time."
Meat Loaf was the father-in-law of Scott Ian
