Black Stone Cherry and Monster Truck join forces
They're creating a new song together
Rock juggernauts Black Stone Cherry and Monster Truck are joining forces for a new web series that will see them write a song together… LIVE!
The idea of uniting blossomed when Monster Truck singer and bassist Jon Harvey appeared on an episode of Black Stone Cherry’s weekly Cherry Chat livestream at the start of May.
Getting on like a proverbial house on fire, the two bands have now joined forces for The Cherry Truck Band web series, which premieres on Black Stone Cherry’s Facebook page on Wednesday 13th May at 9 pm BST.
Billed as a “fly-on-the-wall” insight into the creative process, The Cherry Truck Band will allow fans to watch the two bands concoct a song together.
“We’re so happy to be hanging out with our fellow riff lovers in Monster Truck again- even if it has to be virtually for now,” enthuse Black Stone Cherry.
“Writing a song with another band while live-streaming the entire process to the world is something neither group has ever done- so we are excited to see what happens and where it will go! It’s time to unleash the Cherry Truck Band!"
Monster Truck comment: “We couldn’t be more excited for BSC to pop our collaboration Cherry! Haha! Can’t wait to write some serious rock n roll and come out the other side with a banger. People will be singing this tune for the rest of their lives.”

Launched last month, Black Stone Cherry’s Cherry Chat livestream has also featured Alter Bridge, Halestorm and Theory of a Deadman.
BSC say of the series: “Cherry Chat was born from wanting to give our fans something fun to look forward to and something different than the normal live stream.
“We have SO enjoyed talking to our friends in so many different bands. Our goal is to make it extremely personable and not like an interview. It’s literally just bands chatting, telling stories, sharing laughs, all while being LIVE to the world!”
