Bon Jovi inducted into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame while Judas Priest miss out
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has unveiled the five artists who are being inducted next year.
The acts making up the Performer Category are Bon Jovi, The Cars, Dire Straits, The Moody Blues and Nina Simone. Additionally, Sister Rosetta Tharpe will be posthumously honoured with an Award for Early Influence gong.
Nominated artists who missed out on the final cut include Judas Priest, Radiohead, Depeche Mode, The Zombies, Link Wray, MC5, Rage Against The Machine and The J. Geils Band.
The 33rd Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place on Friday 14th April 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio.
The Class of 2018 Inductees were chosen by more than 900 voters, as well as the aggregate results of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fameâs online fan vote.
As revealed last week, Bon Jovi won the fan vote after amassing over 1million votes. Although the fan vote only counts as one ballot, since it was introduced the winner has always gone on to be inducted.
Judas Priest comfortably finished in the Top 5 of the fan ballot but were eventually snubbed.
