After Brian May unveiled a series of images last month, director Bryan Singer posted a fresh photo of Rami in the early hours of this morning, writing: “Couldn't help myself and had to post this iPhone pic.”

Portraying the legendary Queen singer in his element in the live arena, the photo sees Rami hold court as Freddie with his fist pumped and head thrown back.

Judging by the resplendent outfit - red sweatband, red tie, shiny red trousers and trainers - Rami is most likely mimicking Freddie on The Game Tour, which took in 84 shows from 1980 to 1981.

Here’s an image of Freddie wearing the same outfit in his imperious live glory 37 years ago:

Bryan Singer and executive producer Brian May have been continuing to share a series of photos from behind-the-scenes on the Bohemian Rhapsody shoot over recent weeks, which you can cast your eyes on below.

Alongside Rami Malek, Bohemian Rhapsody stars Gwilym Lee (guitarist Brian May), Ben Hardy (drummer Roger Taylor) and Joseph Mazello (bassist John Deacon).

Game of Thrones, Queer as Folk and The Wire actor Aidan Gillen will play early manager John Reid, while Tom Hollander (Pirates of the Caribbean, Rev., Pride & Prejudice) portrays long-time Queen manager Jim Beach in the film.

Wayne’s World star Mike Myers was reported to be negotiating a role the film last month, however he has yet to be confirmed.

‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ is set for release in December 2018 and is being produced by 20th Century Fox.

> And here for comparison is Freddie himself - right ? Wrong. This is Rami revving up for the performance of his life. The whole thing is truly breathtaking now the production is taking shape. It feels like a rocket taking off. Shooting begins Friday. Bri > > A post shared by Brian Harold May (@brianmayforreal) on Sep 5, 2017 at 6:29pm PDT
