Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe reveal support act for Sheffield Bramall Lane concert
They kick off their co-headline tour in Sheffield
Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe have confirmed their support act for their opening co-headlining European tour date at Sheffield Bramall Lane on Monday 22nd May.
The special homecoming show for Def Leppard at Bramall Lane – the stadium of Joe Elliott’s beloved Sheffield United – will feature local act VIVAS as special guests.
Very much keeping things in the Def Leppard family, Sheffield indie rockers VIVAS feature Rick Savage’s son Tyler Savage on lead guitar and backing vocals.
“We are absolutely delighted to announce that we will be supporting rock legends Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe when they play in Sheffield on Monday 22nd May at Bramall Lane,” VIVAS wrote.
“We honestly can’t thank Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe enough for the opportunity. See you there!”

VIVAS have previously been confirmed to open for Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe at Lytham Festival on Sunday 2nd July.
Wolfgang Van Halen’s band Mammoth WVH are special guests to Def Leppard and Motley Crue at London Wembley Stadium, Dublin Marlay Park and Glasgow Green. Mammoth WVH also play Dowload Festival on Thursday 8th June.
Mammoth WVH’s UK summer shows precede the release of their second album, ‘Mammoth II’, on Friday 4th August 2023 via BMG.
Ahead of their stadium tour, Def Leppard are playing their smallest UK show in 35 years at The Leadmill in Sheffield on Friday 19th May. Net proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Music Venue Trust.
On Tuesday 16th May 2023, Rick Allen, Vivian Campbell, Phil Collen, Joe Elliott and Rick Savage will be in conversation at the Royal Festival Hall, talking about their incredible life in music, and their new book telling the tale – Definitely: The Official Story of Def Leppard.

I have to explore it more, because I would like to. And actually, we talked even about using 'The Blue Danube' as intro music for the tour or something, but it's so on the nose. It's sort of, like, so obvious, but I still want to explore it when I have a little more time."
