The Heavy Metal Truants, co-founded by Iron Maiden manager Rod Smallwood and rock journalist Alexander Milas, are hosting their second annual Heavy Metal Curry night at The Chapati Club in Acton, London on Wednesday 15th May.

Tickets cost £55 for a three-course meal with proceeds going to Nordoff Robbins, Teenage Cancer Trust and Childline.

Introducing their Heavy Metal Curry II: Dhansak in the Moonlight event with a barrage of puns, The Heavy Metal Truants wrote: “The bhajis are back in town!

“The Heavy Metal Truants are proud to present another big curry night out in support of Nordoff Robbins, Teenage Cancer Trust & Childline. £55 will get you a three course meal sure to put you in a food khorma. It's dhal happening at The Chapati Club in Acton, plus meet and greet with naan other than a true ghee-tar legend, Scott Gorham of Black Star Riders & Thin Lizzy! There will also be a small auction of money-can't-bhuna items on the night all to benefit great causes.

The inaugural Heavy Metal Curry night last October featured guest of honour, Biff Byford of Saxon fame.

The Heavy Metal Truants will once again embark on their three-day, 185-mile charity bike ride from London’s Alexandra Palace to Download Festival this June.

The seventh ride has been billed as Seven Deadly Spins and the band of cyclists are hoping to reach their ultimate fundraising goal of £666,000. Since the inception of the event in 2013, they have raised a whopping £580,500.
