Planet Rock presents 13 UK rock and metal festivals that we’re looking forward to this year.

Featuring Planet Rock’s own Winter’s End and Planet Rockstock festivals, plus other massive weekenders like Download, Steelhouse and Bloodstock, there’s already plenty of live music to get excited about in 2022.

Winter's End

When: Friday 4th - Sunday 6th March
Where: The Assembly, Warwickshire
Planet Rock presents Winter's End returns in early 2022 at The Assembly in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. The fifth Winters's End showcases some of the finest established and up-and-coming British bands around – with headliners Wayward Sons, Smith/Kotzen, and Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons. Also confirmed for Winter's End 2022 are Gun, The Dust Coda, Florence Black, Mason Hill, Scarlet Rebels, Laurence Jones, Anchor Lane, King Herd, Valhalla Awaits, Bastette, Sons of Liberty, The Hot Damn!, and more. Winter's End line-up

The full Planet Rock presents Winter's End 2022 line-up, brimming with exciting rock talent. Day tickets are on sale now.

Download Festival

When: Friday 10th - Sunday 12th June
Where: Donington Park, Leicestershire
Download Festival 2022 sees headliners KISS, Iron Maiden, and Biffy Clyro play across the weekend two years after originally planned – and we're glad they kept that killer line-up. With the last full Download being 2019, the festival is returning with an all-out line-up, including headliners Kiss, Iron Maiden, and Biffy Clyro. The bill also features A Day to Remember, Wayward Sons, The Distillers, Airbourne, Myles Kennedy & Company, Megadeath, Deftones, Shinedown, Monster Truck, Those Damn Crows, Korn, Volbeat, Rise Against, The Darkness, Of Mice & Men, Massive Wagons, and many more. Steelhouse Festival

When: Friday 29th – Sunday 31st July
Where: Hafod-Y-Dafal Farm, Ebbw Vale, Wales
Steelhouse Festivals returns from a triumphant 2021 with an already impressive line-up, starring a UK exclusive headline set from co-founder and original lead guitarist of rock legends KISS, Ace Frehley. Other acts announced include Inglorious, Orange Goblin, Diamond Head, H.E.A.T, Green Lung, Black Spiders, Anchor Lane, Ashen Reach, Myke Gray, The Dust Coda, Scarlet Rebels, The Hot Damn! and Valhalla Awaits. Stonedead Festival

When: Saturday 27th August
Where: Newark Showground, Nottingham
Stonedead's day festival brings classic rock bands together for a one-day rock extravaganza. Former UFO guitarist and rock icon Michael Schenker grace the stage as he celebrates 50 years in the business with a special Anniversary Show that will take Stonedead by storm! Fresh from Planet Rockstock 2021, Vandenberg and Stone Broken are taking their unmissable rock action to Stonedead, along with The Wildhearts, H.E.A.T, The Treatment, Tygers of Pan Tang, Thundermother, These Wicked Rivers, and the Poll Winners. For those with camping tickets, the party starts early on Friday 26th August with performances from Black Spiders, Massive and Revival Black. Tickets on sale here.

Planet Rockstock

When: Thursday 1st December – Sunday 4th December
Where: Trecco Bay, Porthcawl, Wales
Planet Rock presents Rockstock Festival 2022 will return to its regular early December weekender at the newly refurbished Trecco Bay Holiday Park. The one and only Bernie Marsden will be performing a set of Whitesnake classics as he headlines Friday night, with rock icons Sweet in the special guest slot. Sunday night headliners are Canadian rock behemoths Monster Truck, who previously stormed Trecco Bay in 2017. Also announced are Elles Bailey, H.E.A.T, Blaze Bayley, Grand Slam, Kingdom of Madness, Gin Annie, and many more.
Tickets are due to go on sale on Friday 25th February from Planet Rock Tickets.

Planet Rockstock line-up

We're extremely pleased to reveal the first 13 acts who are set to rock our ninth Planet Rockstock. There are many more names yet to be announced for Planet Rockstock 2022 including the Thursday and Saturday night headliners!

Bloodstock Festival

When: Thursday 11th August – Sunday 14th August
Where: Catton Park, Derbyshire
Bloodstock's weekend of heavy metal is set to take place on Thursday 11th – Sunday 14th August at Catton Park in Derbyshire. 2022 is headlined by Behemoth (Friday), Lamb Of God (Sunday), and Mercyful Fate, who will play a UK exclusive set as Saturday's headliners. Also playing across the weekend are Dimmu Borgir, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals (Pantera set), Killing Joke, Testament, Exodus, Jinjer, GWAR (UK festival exclusive), Bury Tomorrow, and many more.

Planet Rock's Rocktober

When: Saturday 15th / Tuesday 18th / Saturday 22nd October
Where: Various Locations
Planet Rock presents Rocktober returns in 2022 with headliner Kenny Wayne Shepherd, plus the critically acclaimed King King and When Rivers Meet for three special concerts of blues-rock. Rocktober opens at Bristol O2 Academy on Saturday 15th October 2022 and then calls in at London O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire (Tuesday 18th October) and Sheffield O2 Academy (Saturday 22nd October).

The Long Road

When: Friday 26th August – Sunday 28th August
Where: Stanford Hall, Leicestershire
The Long Road Festival will bring three days of Country, Americana, and Roots to the August Band Holiday Weekend. Southern rockers The Cadillac Three headline Sunday night, with a range of country and blues-rock artists playing across the weekend. Glastonbury Festival

When: Wednesday 22nd June – Sunday 26th June
Where: Pilton, Somerset
Returning for the first time since 2019, Glastonbury Festival is sure to bring some of the biggest music acts together for its long-awaited return. Acts will be announced throughout 2022 – expect some huge names in rock and pop music to take to Glastonbury's comeback next year. Tickets for the 2022 Festival are currently sold out.

BST Hyde Park – Pearl Jam

When: Friday 8th July and Saturday 9th July
Where: Hyde Park, London
Pearl Jam will headline two massive shows at American Express presents BST Hyde Park on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th July 2022. The Seattle band are raring to play their biggest ever show in London and adding a second consecutive night in Hyde Park, due to fan demand. Friday's line-up also features Pixies, with many more to be announced. Tickets on sale here.

BST Hyde Park – Eagles

When: Sunday 26th June
Where: Hyde Park, London
American rock legends the Eagles will conclude their UK stadium tour in June with a mammoth performance at American Express presents BST Hyde Park on Sunday 26th June 2022. Eagles will celebrate their 50th anniversary with their highly anticipated return to the UK, bringing along special guests Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Little Big Town, and more to be announced for their huge BST Hyde Park headline show. Cambridge Folk Festival

When: Thursday 28th July – Sunday 31st July
Where: Cherry Hinton Hall, Cambridge
After a two year break, Cambridge Folk Festival's 2022 line-up is here and it includes Passenger, Seasick Steve, St. Paul & The Broken Bones, and loads more already announced.

Rockin The Bowl

When: Friday 9th September – Sunday 11th September
Where: Don Valley Bowl, Sheffield
Sheffield's open-air rock 'n' roll festival Rockin The Bowl started in 2019 and returns for its second weekender next year. Rockin The Bowl has revealed the likes of Orange Goblin, Diamond Head, The Quireboys, Mason Hill, South of Salem, The Dust Coda, Doomsday Outlaw, and Skam to its line-up, plus many more rock 'n' roll bands set to play the Don Valley Bowl in September.
