Fish announces March 2020 'Weltschmerz' UK Tour

Fish has announced a 12-date UK tour for March 2020 in support of his new album ‘Weltschmerz’.

Author: Scott ColothanPublished 5th Jun 2019

The former Marillion frontman kicks off his tour at Aberdeen Lemon Tree on 13th March and call in at Holmfirth, London, Cardiff, Frome, Northampton, Brighton, Brighton, Bury St Edmunds, Wolverhampton and Manchester before wrapping up at Edinburgh Queen’s Hall on 28th March.

Tickets are on sale from Planet Rock Tickets now.

All shows on the tour will feature songs from Fish’s upcoming eleventh studio album ‘Weltschmerz’ – released in early 2020 - plus a final performance of his debut solo album ‘Vigil In A Wilderness of Mirrors’ to mark its 30th anniversary.

Fish says: “I deliberately chose smaller more relatively intimate venues for the opening round of shows so I can play about with set lists and routines in preparation for what could be a long year.

“There are already plans for more UK and European dates in the autumn with attempts made to capture more open airs next summer with indoor shows joining the dots.”

He adds: “2021 will definitely be my final dates before I retire to write but it won’t be anywhere as near a full tour as on this year’s intended schedule.”
