Guns N’ Roses to play ‘Appetite for Destruction’ 30th anniversary show?
Guns N’ Roses appear to be teasing a 30th anniversary celebration of their seminal debut album ‘Appetite for Destruction’.
Over the past couple of days, adverts have mysteriously started popping up around New York City featuring the record’s artwork with the hashtag #APPETITE30TH, and fans have duly been taking to social media to share images.
One sizeable advert has been flashing up in Times Square, while the world-famous Apollo Theater is also emblazoned with several ads.
‘Appetite for Destruction’ officially turns 30 this coming Friday (21st July) and on the eve of the landmark Guns N’ Roses play a previously announced invite-only show at the Apollo in conjunction with radio station SiriusXM.
Fans are now speculating about whether the apparent ‘Appetite for Destruction’ celebration will take place at the invite-only gig or if Guns are playing a separate show altogether.

Spawning colossal anthems like ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, ‘It’s So Easy’, ‘Sweet Child o’ Mine’ and ‘Paradise City’, ‘Appetite for Destruction’ is one of the best-selling albums of all time having shifted in excess of 30million copies including 18million in their native US.
On their record-obliterating Not In This Lifetime… Tour, Guns N’ Roses have regularly been playing up to nine Appetite tracks as part of the sprawling setlist.
The only songs that haven’t made the cut are the rarely performed ‘Think About You’, ‘You’re Crazy’ and ‘Anything Goes’ – the latter of which hasn’t been played live since 1988.
Following their Apollo show on Thursday, Guns N’ Roses play a series of stadium shows in the US and Canada kicking off at The Dome at America's Center in St Louis on 27th July and wrapping up at San Antonio Alamodome on 8th September.
