Hollywood Vampires have postponed their entire UK and European tour this autumn because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Johnny Depp, Joe Perry and Planet Rock’s very own Alice Cooper were due play Leeds, Glasgow, London and Birmingham in September following European shows in Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Austria, Luxembourg and Italy in late summer.

Hollywood Vampires issued a short statement yesterday (21st June) confirming the tour isn’t going ahead and they’re working on the rescheduled dates.

They wrote: “Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our upcoming European 2020 Tour has been postponed. We will post detailed ticketing information and new replacement dates very soon! We are beyond disappointed but will see you all once we are able to safely rock again!”

Hollywood Vampires played their first UK shows together in June 2018 on a four-date headline arena tour.

The band take their name from the celebrity drinking club formed by Alice Cooper in 1970 at Rainbow Bar & Grill on Sunset Boulevard.

Hollywood Vampires released their self-titled, Bob Ezrin-produced debut album on 11th September 2015 featuring guest spots from Brian Johnson, Perry Farrell, Sir Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, Joe Walsh, Slash, Orianthi and the late-great Sir Christopher Lee.

Produced by Tommy Henriksen and Hollywood Vampires themselves, the band’s second studio album ‘Rise’ was released in June 2019.

Unlike their eponymous debut, the 16-track album features predominately original material except covers of David Bowie’s ‘Heroes’, Jim Carroll Band’s ‘People Who Died’, and Johnny Thunder’s ‘You Can’t Put Your Arms Around A Memory’.

Hollywood Vampires’ postponed UK shows are as follows:

Leeds First Direct Arena – Wed 2nd

Glasgow The SSE Hydro – Thu 3rd

London The O2 – Sat 5th

Birmingham Arena – Sun 6th
