Hollywood Vampires unveil band line-up for UK tour

Since the supergroup’s inception in 2015, core Hollywood Vampires members Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Johnny Depp have been joined by an array of touring musicians including Guns N’ Roses’ Duff McKagan (bass) and Matt Sorum (drums), Stone Temple Pilots bassist Robert DeLeo, producer and musician Bruce Witkin as a multi-instrumentalist, and Alice Cooper guitarist Tommy Henriksen and drummer Glen Sobel.

It’s been confirmed this afternoon that Henriksen and Sobel will both perform at the UK shows alongside three newly drafted in musicians.

They are Alice’s wife of 42 years Sheryl Cooper who will perform vocals, Aerosmith touring musician Buck Johnson on keyboards, and Ace Frehley, Ozzy Osbourne and Mick Jagger collaborator Chris Wyse on bass duties.

Hollywood Vampires will be joined by The Darkness and The Damned at their first shows on UK soil.

The band take their name from the celebrity drinking club formed by Alice in 1970 at Rainbow Bar & Grill on Sunset Boulevard. “To join the club, one simply had to out drink all of the members,” says Alice.

“I would walk in on a typical night and John Lennon, Harry Nilsson, Keith Moon—who would usually be in a costume like a maid or a chauffeur—Bernie Taupin, Jim Morrison and Mickey Dolenz would be there. The next week might be Bernie Taupin, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison and Mickey Dolenz.”

Hollywood Vampires released their self-titled, Bob Ezrin-produced debut album on 11th September 2015 featuring guest spots from Brian Johnson, Perry Farrell, Sir Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, Joe Walsh, Slash, Orianthi and the late-great Sir Christopher Lee.

The following week they played two inaugural star-studded shows at the Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles and in 2016 they headed out on their debut headline tour, which took in North America and a handful of dates in Europe, Brazil and Japan.
