Iron Maiden announce audio version of ‘What Does This Button Do?’ read by Bruce himself

Iron Maiden fans will be able to enjoy an audio version of Bruce Dickinson’s autobiography ‘What Does This Button Do?’ in the legendary frontman's dulcet tones.

Author: Scott ColothanPublished 10th Oct 2017

Available to pre-order right here ahead of its release on Thursday 19th October, Bruce has introduced the audiobook via a typically humorous and self-deprecating video on YouTube.

In the one-minute clip, Bruce says: “Hello, Bruce Dickinson here. If you’re embarrassed about reading this book in public just remember that you can obtain the audio version of me actually reading it to you and sending you to sleep with little lullabies and that sort of stuff.

“So, if you’re embarrassed about being seen with this book in public and not having it under a plain brown cover just remember you can have it under plain brown cover direct to your earholes. An audiobook, what a concept!”

To celebrate the release of ‘What Does This Button Do?', Bruce is recording four stories from the autobiography exclusively for Planet Rock next week!

From Monday 16th to Thursday 19th October, the start of each story will be played on Paul Anthony’s breakfast show and fans will be able to hear the full story in Darren Redick’s show on the afternoon of each respective day. For those who missed it, the four stories will also be repeated on Nights With Alice Cooper each evening.

Then on Sunday 22nd October at 7pm, Bruce will host a special one-off show for us where you can hear the stories and much more!

Don’t forget, you can meet Bruce in person at a series of book signing sessions that kick off in Liverpool next Wednesday.
