Iron Maiden for O2 Silver Clef Award
Iron Maiden will receive an O2 Silver Clef award for their outstanding contribution to music.
The metal monoliths will be given the prestigious honour by Nordoff Robbins, and will become the 40th act to receive it since The Who won the inaugural award back in 1976.
They will be handed the prize at the O2 Silver Clef Lunch on 3rd July at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
Proceeds from the lunch will, as always, go to fund Nordoff Robbins’ ground-breaking work with music therapy. Over the past four decades over £8.5million has been raised.

“We’re extremely proud to receive the O2 Silver Clef Award and be part of the 40th anniversary event celebrating this wonderful achievement.”
Previously winners of note include Jimmy Page (2014), The Clash (2013), Muse (2010), Ozzy Osbourne (2006), Def Leppard (1992), Robert Plant (1990), David Bowie (1987) and Queen (1984).
