Jimmy Page delves deep in new weighty tome 'Jimmy Page: The Anthology'

Led Zeppelin legend Jimmy Page is releasing a new career-spanning book this coming December.

Author: Scott ColothanPublished 5th Sep 2019

Jimmy Page: The Anthology is fully narrated by Page and documents the guitarist’s entire six-decade musical career through selected material from his personal archives.

Among the hundreds of items featured in the weighty tome are guitars, stage costumes, rare posters, vinyl pressings, correspondence, diary entries and unseen photos. Each photo is accompanied by text from Page.

Page comments: “In this book, I wanted to include items from my personal archive that have played a part in my overall story, to give the detail behind the detail.”

Jimmy Page: The Anthology is available as a limited edition of only 2,500 numbered copies, with each one signed by the great man himself.

The book is quarter bound in black leather with gold leaf blocking and gilt page edging, and it comes in a felt-lined slipcase, inspired by the case of Jimmy Page's first electric guitar, his 1958 Resonet Futurama.

Featuring 384 pages, Jimmy Page: The Anthology costs a whopping £395 and is available to order from Genesis Publications’ website ahead of its release in December.

The new book follows the success of Page’s first sold out book via Genesis Publications, ‘Jimmy Page by Jimmy Page’, in 2010. The book was later updated and re-released in 2014.

‘I've really got a lot of time for the way Genesis produce their books, they're really quality items,” says Page. “As someone who's always been interested in having a library themselves, I appreciate fine bookbinding and their whole ethic of what they do and what they're trying to do with a whole catalogue of books.”
