Ultimate Jam Night, the weekly rock n’ roll spectacular founded by Quiet Riot bassist Chuck Wright, will host the completely free A Tribute to Lemmy event on Tuesday 23rd August.

Alongside Chuck in the house band are Matt Starr (Ace Frehley), Walter Ino (Survivor), Mitch Perry (MSG) and Ben White (Magnetico), while it’s been reported that ‘some of Rock Music’s biggest A-List players are expected to perform.’

The event takes place on the eve of the unveiling of a statue at Mr Kilmister’s favourite drinking establishment Rainbow Bar & Grill.

Thousands of Lemmy fans are expected to descend upon West Hollywood vying to attend the ceremony at 7pm on Wednesday 24th August when the life-size cast bronze statue of Lemmy will be revealed to the public.

The creation of Los Angeles based artist Travis Moore, the statue stands at just over 6ft tall and will be housed in the patio bar area of the venue.

Moore originally created the statue as an 18-inch model, which was then transferred to a life-size sculpture.

The $23,000 needed to create the statue was raised via a fundraising campaign created by organiser Katon De Pena of Hirax fame.

He said in January: "Lemmy was dedicated to us - now is our chance to say 'thank you.' Travis will create the best Lemmy sculpture on the planet."
