Lynyrd Skynyrd have premiered their first new song in eight years; the reflective anthem ‘Last of the Street Survivors’.

The Southern Rock legends uploaded ‘Last of the Street Survivors’ to YouTubelast night (2nd April) and they also made it available to download for free for a week right here.

Sharing its name with Lynyrd Skynyrd’s current farewell tour and also a nod to their seminal 1977 album ‘Street Survivors’, ‘Last of the Street Survivors’ sees Lynyrd Skynyrd wistfully reflect on their distinguished career and “think about the ones we lost along the way.”

Produced by Three Southern Gents and recorded by John Albani, ‘Last of the Street Survivors’ was is written by Lynyrd Skynyrd’s sole original member Gary Rossington alongside singer Johnny Van Zant, guitarist Rickey Medlocke and esteemed songwriter Tom Hambridge.

Their last single was the title track of their fourteenth studio album ‘Last of a Dyin' Breed’ in 2012.

Lynyrd Skynyrd are scheduled to headline Ramblin’ Man Fair on Saturday 18th July 2020 as part of their multi-year farewell trek. At the time of writing, Ramblin’ Man Fair is going ahead as planned.
