Metallica's first five albums are being reissued on limited-edition coloured vinyl

Metallica’s first five studio albums are set to be reissued in the UK and Internationally on special limited edition coloured vinyl.
Starting monthly from November 2023, Metallica’s ‘Kill ‘Em All’ (1983), ‘Ride the Lightning’ (1984), ‘Master of Puppets’ (1986), ‘...And Justice for All’ (1988) and ‘Metallica’ aka ‘The Black Album’ (1991) will all get vinyl re-releases.
Alongside the latest remastered audio, each pressing of the Metallica albums will come with a digital download card. The coloured vinyl reissues were previously only available in North America.
The release schedule is as follows:
‘Kill 'Em All’ – Release date: Friday 3rd November 2023
Metallica's ground-breaking debut album will be pressed on 180g 'Jump In The Fire Engine Red' limited edition coloured vinyl, featuring the 2016 remastered audio.
‘Ride The Lightning’ – Release date: Friday 1st December 2023
Metallica's 6 x platinum second album will be pressed on 180g 'Electric Blue' limited edition coloured vinyl, featuring the 2016 remastered audio.
‘Master of Puppets’ - Release date: Friday 5th January 2024
Selected by the Library of Congress for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant." will be released on 5th Jan 2024 pressed on 180g 'Battery Brick' limited edition coloured vinyl, featuring the 2017 remastered audio.
‘…And Justice For All’ - Release date: Friday 2nd February 2024
Featuring the single "One" which earned the band their first Grammy award will be released 2nd Feb 2024 as a 2LP pressed on 180g 'Dyers Green' limited edition coloured vinyl, featuring the 2018 remastered audio.
‘Metallica’ aka ‘The Black Album’ - Release date: Friday 1st March 2024
The first Metallica album to reach #1 in the charts, becoming the band's best-selling album, will be released on 1at March 2024 as a 2LP pressed on 180g 'Some Blacker Marbled' limited edition coloured vinyl, featuring the 2021 remastered audio.
Metallica headline Power Trip festival in California this weekend alongside AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Guns N’ Roses, Tool and Judas Priest.
Following rapturously received shows in Europe and North America this summer, Metallica’s M72 World Tour reconvenes with two concerts at Munich’s Olympiastadion next May. The tour then visits Helsinki, Copenhagen, Warsaw and Madrid.
