Planet Rock is honouring heavy metal torchbearers Black Sabbath by launching a new logo for one week only.

The new temporary Planet Rock logo features the iconic and instantly recognisable lettering from Black Sabbath’s third studio album ‘Master of Reality’, which was unleashed to the world 49 years ago.

Originally released on 18th September 1970 Stateside and in October 1970 in the UK, the 50th anniversary Black Sabbath’s seminal second studio album ‘Paranoid’ has been celebrated with an expansive reissue of the album.

Planet Rock is giving listeners the chance to win the 50th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition of ‘Paranoid’ in our competition RIGHT HERE. It runs until 18th October.

Last Sunday, Planet Rock broadcast an interview with Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, which is followed by numerous Planet Rock artists playing their favourite Sabbath tracks. The night culminated with ‘Paranoid’ being played in its glorious entirety on Planet Rock Plays it in Full.

This coming Sunday (18th October) at 8pm, we’re airing a second My Sabbath Rocks show featuring Black Sabbath band members playing their favourite Sabbath tracks, including a brand-new interview with Bill Ward.
