Planet Rockstock reveals exciting changes for 10th anniversary event in 2023

Planet Rockstock will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2023, and we have details of some of the exciting changes for this year.

A decade on from its inaugural event in Great Yarmouth, Planet Rockstock will take place once again at its long-term home of Trecco Bay in South Wales from Thursday 30th November to Sunday 3rd December 2023.

The first big-name headliner for our all-standing event is Michael Schenker Group (Saturday night) and we’ll be unveiling further line-up additions in the coming weeks and months.

Planet Rockstock curry night:

We’re excited to confirm that a limited number of people can attend Planet Rockstock for FIVE days.

On Wednesday 29th November, we’ll be hosting our first ever curry night at the on-site restaurant with a guest musician in attendance.

Available to both non-accommodation and accommodation 4-day ticketholders who have purchased a 5th night, and on a first come, first served basis, you can find out more details about the curry night in the FAQ section below.

Rockaoke and after show DJ sets:

You asked and we listened! Rockaoke will be making its very welcome return to Planet Rockstock on the Friday (1st December).

There will also be late night DJ sets on Friday and Saturday night until 2am taking place in The Trooper Lounge or the main room.

Live performances:

Following the curry night on Wednesday, the live performances will take place on the Main Stage from Thursday through to Sunday and there will be five acts per night.

Performances on The Graham Harding Stage will take place on the Thursday to Sunday during the daytime. The second stage has a maximum capacity and we will operate a one out/one in policy when it’s full.

The Graham Harding Stage:

Due to the extensive refurbishment of the Trecco Bay site, The Graham Harding Stage moved to its new location in 2022. We appreciate that it was cold last year and we’re working on ways to make the stage much warmer in 2023.

Other activities at Planet Rockstock:

Our resident blues maestro Bernard Doherty will be hosting the Sunday morning quiz in The Trooper Lounge.

Paul Anthony, Wyatt and Darren Redick will be doing select shows from The Trooper Lounge - more details to follow.

There will be My Planet Rocks live interviews recorded at the same location on the Saturday and Sunday. Previous guests have included Bernie Marsden, Blaze Bayley and Vivien Campbell.

Planet Rockstock 2023 tickets:

Accommodation and weekend non-accommodation tickets will go on sale at 9am on Friday 3rd March 2023.

When and where does Planet Rockstock take place?

Planet Rockstock takes place at Trecco Bay Holiday Park, South Wales from Thursday 30th November to Sunday 3rd December 2023. An extra 5th night can be purchased and there is also a limited number of ticketholders who can attend a curry night on Wednesday 29th November for additional fee.

What is the Planet Rockstock 2023 line-up?

The Saturday night headliner for Planet Rockstock 2023 is Michael Schenker Group. Further line-up announcements will be revealed soon.

Can I sit down at Planet Rockstock?

Planet Rockstock is a standing event. If you have a medical condition and you a require a seat, please contact rockstock@planetrock.com.

PLEASE NOTE: There are only a small number of these seats available. Once the space is full, then no extra seats will added.

If you need a break from standing, each band will have a minimum of 30-minute change overs. The Trooper Lounge has plenty of seats to rest and a bar to get refreshments.

What types of tickets can I buy to Planet Rockstock 2023?

Accommodation tickets:

All accommodation comes with tickets to the event, and they’re available in Gold, Silver and Bronze levels.

Gold accommodation – these are newer units or refurbished units, and come with a free event t-shirt for each member of the party booked in that unit. It includes four days of onsite accommodation from Thursday 30th November to Sunday 3rd December.

Silver accommodation – these are newer units or refurbished. Three day tickets (Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd December) but they can be upgraded to a fourth night (Thursday 30th November).

Bronze accommodation – these are older units. Three day tickets (Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd December) but they can be upgraded to a fourth night (Thursday 30th November).

Examples: 2 person/2-bedroom gold accommodation unit will have 2 tickets for Thursday – Sunday and accommodation from Thursday 30th Nov 10am – Monday morning 4 Dec 9am.

A 6 person/3-bedroom unit for Silver 3 days will have 6 tickets for Friday – Sunday and accommodation from Friday 1st Dec 10am – Monday 4th Dec 9am.

All accommodation comes with bedding, have 1 bathroom, kitchen (inc plates/cups, kettle, oven, fridge utensils etc), one double bedroom and other rooms twins. No towels are provided.

Wheelchair Users:

There are a number of accommodation units which are adapted for Wheelchair users. These are in all three levels (Gold, Silver & Bronze). Bookings will automatically give you access to the raised platform in the Showdome. If you purchase a non-accommodation ticket and you in a wheelchair or have other accessibility issue, please email rockstock@planetrock.com

Please note: motorised scooters are not permitted into the Showdome and the user must transfer to a wheelchair.

Additional Night:

Fancy making your stay a little longer? You can add a 5th day to Gold or 4-day Silver/Bronze accommodation bookings at £70 fee plus booking fee irrespective of the number of people in your booking. Check in time for the additional night is 4pm.

Non accommodation bookings:

These will be available as a 3-day standard ticket or 4-day Gold ticket (which includes a free event t-shirt).

Day tickets:

A very limited number will be available later in the year.

What is included in the curry night on the Wednesday?

The curry night will feature a two-course set menu with a basket of poppadoms and dips on arrival. There will also be a special guest musician in attendance.

Vegan and Vegetarian options available

There is a limited number of Curry night tickets available and will be available to 5-day accommodation ticket holders and non-accommodation holders. Tickets are priced at £40 plus booking fee each.

Tables will be shared, so if you are a party of three, you will very likely be sharing with others. Tables will be allocated by Trecco Bay and based on numbers of attendees and time of booking.

The park will be contacting all bookings to confirm dietary requirements and/or allergies.

Drinks and desserts are not included and will need to be paid for separately.

Can I request a refund?

Refunds are discretionary and not guaranteed. Requests must be sent to rockstock@planetrock.com

Accommodation and tickets are not transferable.

If you are worried that you may not be able to make it, please get event ticket protection which can be purchased through the ticket agent at the point of booking.

Can under 18’s attend?

This is an over 18’s event and nobody under that age will be allowed in.
