Queen + Adam Lambert have performed an alternate version of Queen’s 1977 anthem ‘We Are The Champions’ from quarantine.

The split screen video sees Brian May, Roger Taylor and Adam Lambert perform a unqiue version of ‘We Are The Champions’ from their respective homes with the lyrics slightly tweaked to “you are the champions” in a display of solidarity during the coronavirus pandemic.

All three band members shared the two-minute video to their respective Instagram accounts, with Brian May writing: “#youarethechampions. This version is for those of you who like things to be the right way up!”

Brian May in particular has remained active on social media during lockdown. He has performed a series of Queen guitar tutorials including ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, and last week joined forces with Take That singer Gary Barlow for a rendition of The Beatles’ ‘Get Back’.

Last month, Queen + Adam Lambert rescheduled their summer 2020 UK arena tour until 2021.

The 14-date run of shows will now open on 1st June 2021 in London, before going to Manchester, Birmingham and returning to London to close the tour.
