Rammstein have rescheduled their Coventry and Cardiff stadium shows for 2022 and sadly they’ve cancelled their Belfast Boucher Playing Fields concert altogether.

The German electro-metal titans’ entire European Stadium Tour has been moved to next summer due to the coronavirus pandemic and it now opens at Lepizig Red Bull Arena on 20th May 2022 and wraps up at Ostend Park De Nieuwe Koers on 3rd August 2022.

Rammstein’s Coventry Ricoh Arena gig now takes place on Sunday 26th June 2022 and Cardiff Principality Stadium now happens on Thursday 30th June 2022.

The band said in a statement: “Due to the expected ongoing event-bans and restrictions related to COVID-19, Rammstein are unfortunately forced to postpone the planned European Stadium Tour again.

“The band and everyone involved are very disappointed about this. Given the lack of planning reliability for holding events of this size, this step is unavoidable.

“The concerts are rescheduled to 2022.

“Unfortunately, some minor changes had to be made and the show in Belfast will be cancelled entirely. Tickets for Belfast will be refunded, all other tickets remain valid!

“The band is using the time off to continue working on new songs. We look forward to seeing you in 2022!”

In an interview with Motor.de last month, Rammstein keyboardist Christian "Flake" Lorenz revealed that Rammstein have recorded their eighth studio album.

"The fact that we couldn't perform live increased our creativity,” Flake said. “We had more time to think of new things and less distraction. As a result, we recorded an album that we hadn't planned on."

Rammstein’s mind-blowing pyrotechnics through the years:

Rammstein's pyro through the years

Rammstein's frontman and resident pyromaniac, Till Lindemann, wore a flaming silver coat at the band's early shows. Here he is on stage in Berlin in 1996.

Even when they played smaller stages, this did little to quell Rammstein's insatiable appetite for fire. Here's a shirtless Till Lindemann swinging two Catherine wheel-like fireworks at the Palace in Los Angeles in 1998.

Rammstein's trademark flamethrowers have also been a mainstay of their live shows for decades. Here's Till Lindemann at Australia's Big Day Out Festival in 2001.
