Reluctant Jon Bon Jovi forced to sing 'Livin' On A Prayer' with wedding band
Easily the most awkward thing you’re going to see today, Jon Bon Jovi was coerced against his will to perform with a wedding band at a ceremony in Miami this week.
Invited to the private wedding by friends, Bon Jovi was enjoying kicking back and relaxing at the Florida nuptials – until the wedding band launched into a cover of ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’ that is.
With the grim prospect of being invited up to sing his song in the wrong key hitting home, Bon Jovi’s face drops and tells a thousand stories as singer Lourdes Valentin approaches with the microphone.
Smiling but clearly wishing the ground would swallow him up, a reluctant and broken Bon Jovi eventually concedes defeat and gets up on stage. Worse, the whole incident was captured on film and uploaded to YouTube.
Valentin explained to the Associated Press that she’d had a chat with Bon Jovi beforehand and was informed he didn’t want to be involved. She said: “I was very surprised when Jon did then grace us with his talent.”
