Ronnie Asked To Appear At Olympics Twice
Wood says both the Stones and Faces have been approached
Speaking to The Sun Wood revealed that the Stones and Faces had been asked to open and close the Olympics.
Ronnie said: "We've got more meetings, everyone wants to do it. I've been asked to do the opening ceremony with the Stones and close the games with The Faces. I've got to be the first bi-athlete musician."
But it's looking unlikely that the shows will happen. Last week a Stones spokesman last week revealed: "Contrary to a totally inaccurate report in the London Evening Standard today, The Rolling Stones wish to point out that they are not performing at any concerts tied to the 2012 Olympic Games in Hyde Park or The Olympic Park."
