Scorpions have unveiled the artwork to their upcoming 19th studio album ‘Rock Believer’ and a tantalising 23-second clip of new single ‘Peacemaker.’

The follow-up to 2015’s ‘Return to Forever’, ‘Rock Believer’ will land two weeks later than originally announced on Friday 25th February 2022.

The ‘Rock Believer’ album artwork features a screaming woman’s face underneath a veil with her hand place on her forehead and a Scorpion icon tattooed upon her tongue. The striking red sleeve also features the Scorpions logo and album title in yellow.

Scorpions have also teased new single ‘Peacemaker’ by sharing a 23-second snippet on social media featuring blazing riffs and Klaus Meine howling “Peacemaker, peacemaker, bury the undertaker!”

‘Peacemaker’ and its official video will officially premiere this Friday (5th November).

The German hard rock legends write: “This is a call for all ROCK BELIEVERS out there: We are excited to announce that our new album ROCK BELIEVER will be out 25th February 2022. The pre-order for the album starts tomorrow 4pm CET.

“More exciting news will drop tomorrow.”

Scorpions drummer Mikkey Dee has also shared the 'Peacemaker' single cover artwork and wrote: "Here it is: the Peacemaker Cover Artwork! This photo captures perfectly how we feel as a band. "

‘Rock Believer’ was recorded in Scorpions’ hometown of Hanover during the coronavirus pandemic.

“The album was written and recorded in the Scorpions DNA with core Schenker/Meine compositions,” says Klaus Meine. “We recorded the album as a band live in one room, like we did in the 80s.”

Scorpions will kick off their Rock Believer World Tour with a nine-date Las Vegas residency at Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Hotel in March 2022 before embarking on a European tour in May.

Taking in Portugal, France, Switzerland, Italy, Czech Republic, Poland, Hungary, Finland, Germany and Spain, the extensive run of shows continues through to early July.

Support on the German dates comes from Mammoth WVH, and there are currently no UK shows as part of the touring itinerary.

Scorpions last played the UK in August 2019 when they brought Bloodstock festival to an emphatic close. Scorpions’ last headline UK tour took place way back in October 2008.
