Slade to release live boxset featuring three unreleased albums

Rock legends Slade will release their 5CD live boxset ‘All The World Is A Stage’ via BMG on Friday 9th September 2022.
An aural documentation of why Slade were truly one of the finest live bands on the planet, ‘All The World Is A Stage’ consists of five separate Slade live performances between 1972 and 1981.
The CD box set boasts Slade’s seminal 1972 live album ‘Slade Alive!’ and 1982’s ‘Slade On Stage’, together with three live records that have never been released before.
Alongside the 58 songs capturing Slade in their imperious live glory, the collection also features a 16-page booklet. You can pre-order ‘All The World Is A Stage’ right here.
The trio of previously unreleased live shows are as follows:
Live At The New Victoria:
Recorded on April 24 1975, the album captures the band before they went around the UK to promote their feature film, In Flame. Heard officially for the first time, it now presents a fitting snapshot of the group’s powerful live performances.
Live At The Hucknall Miner's Welfare Club:
Recorded on June 26 1980, shows the band unwilling to trade exclusively on their past with songs featured from their new studio album at the time ‘We’ll Bring The House Down’, along with classics ‘Take Me Bak ’Ome’, ‘Gudbuy T’Jane’, ‘Everyday’ and the perennial ‘Mercy Xmas Everybody’.
Alive! At Reading:
The third unreleased full live set, captures the band delivering a sensational live performance to over 80,000 people at Reading Festival in 1980. As last-minute replacements for Ozzy Osbourne, few knew they were going to be performing but their sensational set was the highlight of the festival and led to Slade enjoying a renaissance in the eighties.
Following Don Powell’s highly acrimonious exit from Slade in February 2020 (allegedly over email), guitarist Dave Hill is the sole original member of the band today.
Earlier this year, Slade’s management refuted a tabloid story claiming that the band were getting back together to perform at Glastonbury.
In February, Noddy Holder and Dave Hill posed for a joint photo outside a restaurant fuelling speculation amongst fans about a potential reunion.

Monsters of Rock 1980 line-up
Rainbow promoter Paul Loasby together with Maurice Jones organised a one-day music festival in the UK celebrating hard rock and heavy metal music. The inaugural Monsters of Rock was held at Donington Park racetrack on 16th August 1980 with Rainbow topping a bill that also featured Judas Priest, Scorpions, April Wine, Saxon, Riot and Touch. Saxon were so enamoured by the experience, Biff Byford wrote the song 'And the Bands Played On' about it.

Monsters of Rock 1986 line-up
Ozzy Osbourne headlined the seventh Monsters of Rock on Saturday 16th August with Scorpions, Def Leppard, Mötorhead, Bad News and Warlock also performing the day. It was a landmark gig for Def Leppard as it was Rick Allen's first major concert appearance since he lost his left arm following a car crash on 31st December 1984.

Ozzy Osbourne and KISS headlined with Sepultura, Bohazard, Dog Eat Dog, Paradise Lost and Fear Factory on the main stage. The Kerrang! Stage featured Korn, Type O Negative, Everclear, 3 Colours Red, Honeycrack and Cecil.
