Status Quo to announce Rick Parfitt memorial event this spring
In a heartfelt message, Status Quo have confirmed a Rick Parfitt memorial event is in the works.
Thanking their fans for their support over the past month, the band have confirmed that in Rick’s memory they will be continuing their touring commitments in 2017 and they're also organising an event in his honour.
In addition to their previously announced Aquostic Live shows, Status Quo will also play extra dates at York Barbican and Norwich UEA this June.
The band wrote: “Status Quo would like to thank their fans for all of your kind messages over the last few weeks.
“In Rick's memory, the band – and as previously announced - will continue to honour their already scheduled live commitments for 2017, continuing with guitarist Richie Malone.
“Fans wishing to pay their personal respects to Rick will be able to do so later in the year at a memorial event which will be announced in late Spring.”
