Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul were 22 songs into their sprawling show at London’s The Roundhouse when Steven said: “I got a friend of mine who wants to come out and we’ve got to finish some unfinished business, alright. Say hello to Mr Paul McCartney please.”

Steven was making reference to Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band’s Hard Rock Calling gig at Hyde Park in 2012 when the sound was pulled during the encore with McCartney due to a strict curfew by Westminster Council.

To cheers from the capacity Roundhouse crowd, Little Steven and the Disciples of Soul performed The Beatles ‘I Saw Her Standing There’ with McCartney.
