Hennemusic reports that an Oakland University student in Rochester, Michigan has been suspended after writing about his attraction to one of his professors in an essay titled "Hot For Teacher” that was based on a song by Van Halen.

WXYX reports aspiring writer Joseph Corlett says he was never warned that writing about his attraction to his professors who are women crossed the line in his Advanced Critical Writing class.

"I’m getting all A's and when you get all A's, I’m not going to start writing about freight trains or snow”, said Corbett who added, "She made it clear that she didn’t want us to edit. She wanted the raw stuff.”

Corlett is appealing his year-long suspension and wants the university to allow him to complete the course under the guidance of another professor.
