The third and final day at Download Festival with Tool headlining and Slayer playing their last ever UK show.

Sunday at Download Festival 2019 is here and the elves have been out in force overnight covering the gloopy brown stuff in straw.

Four Scandinavian pirates invaded the press room ahead of Amon Amarth's main stage performance - the planet's premier Viking-themed metal band. Fortunately there was no pillaging.

They also flanked Download Festival booker Andy Copping as he addressed the press:

Vying for the prestigious 'hero of the day' title, a man crowd-surfed on an inflatable pink flamingo during Aaron Buchanan & The Cult Classics' scintillating set:

Aaron Buchanan & The Cult Classics were on imperious form and played to a rammed-to-the-rafters Dogtooth Stage tent:

One of the zeniths of Winter's End earlier this year, Kim Jennett won over a legion of new fans on The Dogtooth Stage after her storming set.
