Foo Fighters reveal track-listing for new compilation album 'The Essential Foo Fighters'

Foo Fighters have announced details of a new ‘best of’ compilation album.
Released on Friday 28th October 2022 via Sony Music, ‘The Essential Foo Fighters’ collates the band’s biggest hits and fan favourites from their studio album discography.
The CD version of the album features 19 tracks, while the double vinyl edition boasts with two extra songs – ‘Breakout’ and ‘Waiting on a War.’
Songs on the track-listing include ‘My Hero’, ‘Monkey Wrench’, ‘Best of You’, ‘All My Life’, ‘This Is A Call’, ‘These Days’, ‘The Pretender’ and two versions of ‘Everlong.’
‘The Essential Foo Fighters’ is released 13 years after the last Foo Fighters best of record, 2009’s ‘Greatest Hits.’
A huge commercial smash in the UK, ‘Greatest Hits’ has sold more than 1.5 million units on these shores alone and it has outsold each of Foo Fighters’ nine studio albums respectively.
Featuring a galaxy of star performers, Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert took place at London’s Wembley Stadium earlier this month. A second tribute show is happening at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles on Tuesday 27th September.
