The Rolling Stones postpone North American tour due to Mick Jagger medical condition
The Rolling Stones have been forced to postpone their entire North American tour as Mick Jagger needs medical treatment for an unspecified condition.
The rock legends issued a statement at 1pm today (30th March) confirming that they won’t be going ahead with the US and Canada leg of the No Filter Tour on doctor’s orders.
They wrote: “Unfortunately today the Rolling Stones have had to announce the postponement of their upcoming US / Canada tour dates - we apologise for any inconvenience this causes those who have tickets to shows but wish to reassure fans to hold onto these existing tickets, as they will be valid for the rescheduled dates, which will be announced shortly.
“Mick has been advised by doctors that he cannot go on tour at this time, as he needs medical treatment. The doctors have advised Mick that he is expected to make a complete recovery so that he can get back on stage as soon as possible.”

In a statement, 75-year-old Mick said: “I’m so sorry to all our fans in America & Canada with tickets, I really hate letting you down like this. I’m devastated for having to postpone the tour but I will be working very hard to be back on the road as soon as I can. Once again, huge apologies to everyone.”

The 17-date North American leg of the No Filter tour was due to kick off at Miami Gardens Hard Rock Stadium on Saturday 20th April and wrap up at Burl's Creek Event Grounds in Barrie, Canada on Saturday 29th June.
The Rolling Stones commenced work on their brand new studio album last autumn, which will be their first collection of original material since 2005’s ‘A Bigger Bang’.
Keith Richards has previously said the record could tentatively be released this year. The guitarist spent a few days in the studio with Mick Jagger in October where they “knocked out a few songs” with producer Don Was.
The band will also release a new compilation album called ‘Honk’ on Friday 19th April 2019 featuring 36 hits and classic cuts from every Rolling Stones studio album from 1971’s ‘Sticky Fingers’ through to 2016 covers album ‘Blue & Lonesome’.
