Available to download right now, ‘The One You Know’ is the inaugural taster of Jerry Cantrell, Sean Kinney, Mike Inez and William DuVall’s upcoming sixth album and first release on their new label home BMG.

Cantrell says of the album: “It’s a record we haven’t done yet, but it’s also a record that has all the elements of anything you would expect from us. It’s got our fingerprint. And we’re really proud of the material we wrote and the performances we captured.

“There’s some really heavy sht, some really ugly stuff, some really beautiful stuff, some weirdo trippy sht…it’s good.”

Commenting on the five year wait since 2013’s ‘The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here’, Cantrell added: “We wait until we’re ready and until we have material that’s up to the Alice In Chains standard and then we do what we do. This is the racket we make when we get together.”

The as-yet-untitled new album will once again be produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Rush, Deftones, Korn, Stone Sour) who produced ‘The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here’ and 2009’s ‘Black Gives Way to Blue’.

Alice In Chains will grace the UK next month for sold out shows at Leeds O2 Academy and London O2 Shepherds Bush Empire.
