Metallica have shared professionally shot footage of their cover of Queen’s ‘Stone Cold Crazy’ at Manchester Arena on Saturday night (28th October).

Only the second outing of the ‘Sheer Heart Attack’ classic since the 97-date WorldWired Tour kicked off in February 2016, Metallica performed the track ten songs into their rapturously received show.

Shortly before playing ‘Stone Cold Crazy’, Metallica paid tribute to Manchester when Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo played instrumental covers of Joy Division’s ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’ and Oasis’ ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’.

In the wake of the Manchester Arena attack in May, the Oasis song was used by the people of Manchester in remembrance of the victims and to show the city's spirit.

Metallica concluded their five-date UK tour at Birmingham Genting Arena last night where Kirk and Robert played a short solo cover of Black Sabbath’s ‘War Pigs’.
