When Rivers Meet premiere 'Play My Game' video from new album 'Aces Are High'
Their third album is released this summer
Blues rock duo When Rivers Meet have announced details of their third studio album ‘Aces Are High.’
Set for release later this summer and available to pre-order here, ‘Aces Are High’ features 10 tracks including instantly infectious single ‘Play My Game.’
Directed and produced by Terry Crouch, the ‘Play My Game’ video follows a poker game that goes dramatically wrong and leads to a high-octane car chase and a white-knuckle aeroplane escape.

Commenting on how their sound has evolved on ‘Aces Are High’, Grace and Aaron Bond said: “As our music is progressing, we’re finding our sound even more. When we went in the studio this time, we’ve never been so sure on what we wanted to create—we had a really clear vision and have stuck to it.
“Before we held back on being too rocky, but this time we allowed ourselves to create what we wanted to hear, without restricting ourselves. We also allowed ourselves to express the different colours to our music with tracks like ‘Golden’ and ‘By Your Side’, so this album has more extremes.
“We still call upon our influences from all the years but remain true to ourselves to create music we love.”
Ahead of the release of ‘Aces Are High’, When Rivers Meet will play a total of 14 headline UK shows in April and May 2023 on the Breaker of Chains Tour.
Opening at Colchester Arts Centre on Friday 28th April, the tour visits Norwich, Brighton, London, Bristol, Birmingham, Southampton, Tavistock, Barnard Castle, Glasgow, Newcastle, Nottingham and Bradford before concluding at Manchester Academy 3 on Saturday 27th May.

Rolling Stones and Faces guitarist Ronnie Wood is the father-in-law of television and radio presenter Fearne Cotton. Ronnie's oldest son Jesse Wood began dating Fearne Cotton in 2011 and they married three years later. They have two children together.

Guitar shredder Nita Strauss, perhaps best-known for being Alice Cooper's guitarist since 2014, is a descendant of 19th century Austrian composer Johann Strauss II. Explaining she's related to Johan on her father's side, Nita told Ultimate Guitar: "We have a lot of musicians, like, everyone on my dad's side of the family is all musicians, all the way back to the Viennese Strausses." Asked if she would consider performing Johan's music, Nita said: "You know, the waltz doesn't really sound good on the guitar. Like, I've sort of experimented a bit. I have to explore it more, because I would like to. And actually, we talked even about using 'The Blue Danube' as intro music for the tour or something, but it's so on the nose. It's sort of, like, so obvious, but I still want to explore it when I have a little more time."
