Every Saturday night at 10pm our doctor of the blues, Bernard Doherty is here playing something for everyone from his own personal vault. From the newest bands re-inventing the blues today, to the acts that gave birth to rock and roll, it’s all here, just as long as it has blues in its DNA.
The two-hour show boasts an eclectic selection of blues & rock music from all parts and decades, along with a special four track end of show 'Cool Blues To The End' segment.
We like to think of it as two hours of culture. Planet Rock, but for the discerning listener!
Plus, every weekend we give you even more blues in 'The Blues Power Sunday Brunch'. You can hear it every Sunday from 12pm-1pm, with Bernard bringing you some of the biggest names in the blues. Whether you're enjoying eggs benedict or a greasy fry-up, Bernard will provide the perfect hors d'oeuvre.
