Planet Rock Premium is our new subscription that gives you more control over live radio than ever before. Listen live with no ad breaks, skip up to 6 tracks per hour and get access to exclusive on-demand music, shows and specials from across the world of rock and other genres.

Planet Rock Premium subscribers can now get a 30 day free trial. Experience and explore everything that Planet Rock Premium has to offer, including live radio with no ad breaks, live track skipping and exclusive on-demand music, shows and specials.

No ad breaks

Whether you are trialling the service or a subscribed Premium user, you will have no ad breaks for the duration of your subscription. As a Premium subscriber, you can listen live across Planet Rock, Kerrang! Radio, Scala Radio, Jazz FM, Absolute Radio, Magic Radio, Greatest Hits Radio and KISS with no ad breaks.

There are no ad breaks on all the exclusive online stations for all the Premium radio stations, which you get full access to as a Premium subscriber.

Skip tracks

Skip tracks when listening to live radio or any of the online stations that are part of Premium. Simply click the skip button on the Web Player or App.

You can skip tracks live with a limit of 6 skips per hour. Please note the skip function will be disabled in some shows with special programming.

On-demand shows and specials

Explore exclusive on-demand shows and specials including iconic artist interviews with legendary talent such as KISS's Gene Simmons, Black Sabbath's Tommy Iommi and Def Leppard's Joe Elliott.

You'll have access to exclusive episodes and specials across all our Premium stations.

Online stations

With Planet Rock Premium, you have access to 20 exclusive stations including Blues Power, Chilled Rock and Power Anthems.

Better still, you also get access to over 80 exclusive online stations for all our Premium radio stations, including Planet Rock, Kerrang! Radio, Scala Radio, Jazz FM, Absolute Radio, Magic Radio, Greatest Hits Radio and KISS.

How much does Planet Rock Premium cost?

When you upgrade to Premium, you will automatically get a 30 day free trial to explore before you get billed. Premium costs £3.99 a month and gives you access to exclusive features and content on Planet Rock, Kerrang! Radio, Scala Radio, Jazz FM, Absolute Radio, Magic Radio, Greatest Hits Radio and KISS.

How do I upgrade to Premium?

There are two ways to subscribe to Premium:

1) Through our website - You can visit our website and purchase Premium at www.planetradio.co.uk/premium

2) Through our App - You can also subscribe to Premium through the Planet Rock App.

Regardless of where you subscribe you will have access to Premium features across all platforms where you use your Planet Rock account.

What happens after I upgrade?

You will get an email confirming that you have just upgraded to Premium and that you now have a 30 day free trial before you get billed to explore Premium.

You'll also get access to Premium for Kerrang! Radio, Jazz FM, Scala Radio, Absolute Radio, Magic Radio, Greatest Hits Radio and KISS included in the cost.

Why can't I see Planet Rock Premium in the App?

You need to sign in with the email address that you upgraded with to see Premium features across your devices. You might also need to update to the new version of the App to see the Premium features. You will need to allow location services whilst using our App for both general and premium listening. You can find out more information here.

Can I still listen to Planet Rock if I don't upgrade to Planet Rock Premium?

Yes! Planet Rock Premium is just an option for those who want to get more out of Planet Rock. You'll still be able to listen to us on all the same channels you usually do if you don't upgrade to Premium.

You can listen on the Planet Rock web player, Planet Rock App, Chromecast to your Google device, Airplay to Apple Home and listen on Amazon Alexa.

Listening online

Once you sign in to your Planet Rock Account, if you are a Premium user, your Premium features will appear.

Listening on the App

Download the Planet Rock App and when you sign in your Premium features will automatically appear. You may have to update your App to the latest version.

Listening on Smart Speakers

Amazon Alexa
To get access to no ad-breaks and exclusive online stations, you need to link your Premium account to your Alexa device. Please note, you can't skip tracks using Alexa but can on our webplayer and the Planet Rock App. Find out more about linking your account with Alexa.

Google
Google speaker devices do not have a skill that supports ad-free streams and Premium only stations. However, you can Cast from mobile apps to get access. To do this you can follow this help guide: Using Chromecast, Bluetooth or Airplay.

Apple
Apple speaker devices do not have a skill that supports streams and Premium only stations. However, you can AirPlay from mobile apps to get access. To do this you can follow this help guide: Using Chromecast, Bluetooth or Airplay.

Sonos
To access Premium stations on your Sonos speaker devices open the Sonos app and go to the settings tab. Simply tap on the 'services and voice' option and select the Planet Radio music service. Finally tap on 'reauthorise account' and follow the steps to sign in. You can also follow the steps provided by Sonos here.
