For the first time ever, you can experience Todd Phillips' multi award-winning film, Joker like never before, with a screening accompanied by live orchestra playing Hildur Guðnadóttir's Grammy-winning score in Joker - Live in Concert. The world premiere for the event will take place at London's Eventim Apollo on 26th September 2021.

The London opening of Joker - Live In Concert will be conducted by Jeff Atmajian - the conductor and orchestrator of the original soundtrack - with SENBLA’s Dave Mahoney conducting the rest of the UK Tour dates.

Hildur said, “I'm thrilled to get to see and hear Joker in the cinema with a live orchestra. When we recorded the music, the orchestra brought such depth and detailed attention to the performances that we were all literally holding our breaths during most of the recording sessions. It was a beautiful trip. I’m so happy to get to go there again and for an audience to experience that too.”

Based on DC's Batman comic series, Joker tells the origin story of one of the Caped Crusader's most notorious foes. In Phillips' telling of the story, we meet a troubled man trying to find his way in Gotham City but to no avail. Following attempts at stand-up comedy falling flat, we see a chain of events from the cruelty he suffers and the cruelty he carries out escalate to create the notorious villain, the Joker.

The film stars Joaquin Phoenix in the titular role, for which he won an Academy Award. Joker's cast also includes Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Bill Camp, Shea Whigham, Marc Maron, Douglas Hodge, Josh Pais and Leigh Gill.
