What is Screen Time?

Join Charles Nove every weekday from 9am for Screen Time - a celebration of music to hit the big and small screens.

Screen Time provides nostalgic and rousing music from films, TV shows and video games, with the dulcet tones of Charles Nove, to deliver the perfect start to your weekday morning.

What can you expect?

We don’t need to tell you that there’s plenty on offer when it comes to film, video games and TV show music, certainly when we have our very own resident experts Mark Kermode, Luci Holland, and Segan Akinola (and their infinite wisdom) on board.

That said, Screen Time brings you the expected and unexpected, such as La Traviata (featured in Pretty Woman) to the opening titles from Killing Eve, or Nobuo Uematsu's music from the Final Fantasy franchise.

Expect scores written for a specific film, such as John Williams' music for Indiana Jones, as well as classic pieces of music featured in films, like Beethoven's 7th, which has been featured in Down River, Frances, The King's Speech, The Origin of Violence, X-Men: Apocalypse… need we go on?

But that’s not all, The Nove has enlisted the help of fellow experts Mark Kermode and Luci Holland to provide regular trivia questions, like this from Mark Kermode:

"Guess this film from 2001 with these 3 clues: garden gnomes, passport photos and Paris?" - Scroll down for the answer.

So, if you want to start your day right, make yourself comfortable and start it with Charles Nove every weekday for Screen Time with Charles Nove from 9am (though, you’d be a fool if you didn’t start listening to the Nove from 7am).

Oh, and the answer to Mark’s trivia question was Amelie, but you knew that, right?
