The Sundance Film Festival: London 2021 presented 15 of the best films from the Sundance Film Festival Utah at the Picturehouse Central from 29th July – 1st August.

The Festival opened with the UK premiere of Edgar Wright’s debut documentary The Sparks Brothers, a musical odyssey through five weird and wonderful decades with brothers Ron and Russell Mael, which screened consecutively in cinemas across the UK along with a filmmaker Q&A.

Other programme highlights included Mass, an agonising drama following two sets of parents in the aftermath of a fatal high school shooting; the warm-hearted comedy-drama CODA, which stars British actress Emilia Jones, and Dash Shaw’s Cryptozoo.

On Saturday 24th July, Mark Kermode dedicated 2 hours to the scores which featured at this year's Festival including music from The Sparks Brothers, Censor, Writing with Fire and CODA along with past festival favourites such as Manchester By The Sea and Whale Rider.
