A whole bunch of famous faces have signed up for the brand new series of Celebrity MasterChef, as they attempt to show off their culinary skills under the watchful eyes of John Torode and Gregg Wallace.

As the new series kicks off, here's everything you need to know about Celebrity MasterChef 2022.

When does Celebrity MasterChef 2022 start?

BBC bosses have finally now revealed the start date for the 2022 series of Celebrity MasterChef.

The opening episode will kick off at 8pm on Wednesday 10th August, with episodes on Thursday 11th August at 8pm, and Friday 12th August at 9pm.

Who is on Celebrity MasterChef 2022?

20 celebrities will take part in the new series, including McFly singer Danny Jones, actor Ryan Thomas, and Strictly Come Dancing star Katya Jones.

Speaking about the exciting new line-up, Katie Attwood, MasterChef Series Editor, said: “Celebrity MasterChef is a firm favourite in the television must-see calendar and this series is as funny, engaging and nail-biting as ever. John and Gregg are in for a treat, as are our viewers.”

Sarah Clay, Commissioning Editor for the BBC, added: “This line up will absolutely cement Celebrity MasterChef as one of the nation's most loved cookery programmes, with a lot of laughter alongside fierce competition guaranteed. The level of cooking is fantastic this year and you can really see how much it means to them all.”

Fans will be able to watch Celebrity MasterChef on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Who is hosting Celebrity MasterChef 2022?

Chef John Torode is back alongside Gregg Wallace for the 2022 series.

Who has won Celebrity MasterChef in the past?

There's so far been 16 winners of Celebrity MasterChef. Former rugby player Matt Dawson was the first ever winner back in 2006, with Paralympian Kadeena Cox winning the show last year.
