Final celebrity announced for Strictly Come Dancing

Following a week of exciting announcements, the 15th and final celebrity has now been unveiled for this year's Strictly Come Dancing, in the form of Les Dennis.

69-year-old Les said: “I’m thrilled to be doing this iconic wonderful show as I approach my 70th birthday! In my career I’ve always gone for challenges outside my comfort zone and this is the ultimate one! Can’t wait.”

The upcoming new series, which will be hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, will make history with a number of celebs this year.

As well as Zara McDermott being the first ever Love Island star to feature, original Come Dancing host Angela Rippon will be the show's oldest ever contestant at the age of 78.

Although no official start date has been given just yet, the professional dancers have been back in training a number of weeks, with this year's celebrities set to get going in the coming days.

Strictly will launch in September.
