Megan is a lovely little girl with very complex medical and developmental needs.

She is unable to sit or hold up her head unsupported. Megan has no speech and will only acknowledge and react to those she knows very well. Megan lives with her Grandad and is at her happiest in a darkened room with sensory lights, sounds and smells. She loves to hear her Grandad sing, but apart from this, it is only through sensory toys and equipment that Megan will react. They also seem to calm her when she becomes upset. As with most specialised equipment, sensory toys and lights are very expensive.

Megan’s Grandad asked Cash for Kids if we could help with this cost. He was planning to redecorate her room and felt that the sensory equipment would help make it a more enjoyable space for her. Of course, we agreed and funded the purchase of these special items to make a very special little girl happy.
