On the 4th October Laura will be taking part in the virtual London marathon to raise money for Cash for Kids.

A few months ago, she made the decision to take up running and followed a couch to 5k programme to help get her started. Having finished the programme, Laura continued to run regularly and decided to use her passion for running to raise funds for a local charity.

When it came to deciding which charity to support, it was an easy choice for Laura to make. Cash for Kids had been able to support her brother with a specially adapted car seat when he was younger. This is something that Laura has never forgotten and when it came to raising funds for a charity, Cash for Kids was the obvious choice.

Running 26 miles was going to be a big challenge for Laura, having only ran in one 10k event previously. However, she is determined to complete the marathon, even if it means she has to walk the last few miles!

She's has already raised a fantastic sum of £240 and we are sure her determination to succeed will get her to the finishing line.
