Unbelievably it's been almost 20 years since SM:TV Live hit our TVs and the boys say they would be up for a reunion!

The exciting news emerged as the pair were at a press conference for the new series of Saturday Night Takeaway which starts this weekend.

When asked about their iconic TV show from the late 90s Ant said,

"It's funny, we were talking to someone about this recently, because it's 20 years since the launch of SM:TV next year."

He went on to say,

"We were saying, or asking if there's an appetite... to do an anniversary special.

"We kind of got carried away with the idea, didn't we?"

He then added,

"If we did just a one-off, and it had to be 9.25am, with Chums and all that, and get Cat Deeley back."

Then Dec chipped in,

"We're kind of floating it by a few people and getting a straw poll."

And with that the fans came out in force to confirm they would love to see a reunion.

SM:TV Live was broadcast on Saturday mornings and for the majority of its time on air featured Ant and Dec who were fresh out of Byker Grove, along with Cat Deeley. The show quickly became ITV's most successful kids TV show since Tiswas.

It's popularity was mainly down to the celebrity guests and featured sketches including Chums, a parody of Friends and Eminemmerdale a parody of Eminem and Emmerdale.

As well as appearing on the show the celebrity guests would get involved with sketches, watch Chums - The One with Lorraine Kelly and Britney Spears to a romantic reading with Dec below.

There's no word yet from Cat who has moved to Los Angeles, but fingers crossed the talks turn into concrete plans!
